The apartment for rental is a two-person studio in west Nice, about eight bus-stops east of the airport. It is on the third - top - floor of a clean and modern building serviced by a lift. It's nearly 40 square metres/yards in size (and in fact it's in the shape, more or less, of a square), plus 5 more square metres out on the balcony.

The kitchen is separate and contains all usual appliances such as fridge, microwave, electric cooker, toaster and coffee-maker.

The sofa in the main area can convert into a double bed. Available is TV and CD/radio/cassette player.
The room has a light, uncluttered feeling.

From the balcony, although you can see other buldings of different shapes, styles and sizes, none of them are close up and the view is varied and interesting, while the balcony itself is wide enough for a table and four chairs.
Facing west, as the apartment does, you get the sun all afternoon and early evening, which means that firstly, this is the time to do any nude sunbathing, and secondly, your evening meal out on the balcony will stay warm while you eat it. Afterwards, you can sit back and...




The bathroom is off the bedroom / alcove area. A wicker screen separates it from the main area.

The Area

The Apartment is in the west end of Nice. Crossing over the road to the Promenade des Anglais, you come to one of Nice's main attractions for roller-bladers, joggers, strollers, cyclists, anglers, sun-worshippers, lovers, boules-players and people-watchers all doing their thing along this highly alive strip of the Mediterranean. Sometimes in the little harbour area in the evening, you can see people gathering round for a fry-up of their day's catch, while others sell theirs from a nearby stall.

The apartment is very accessible to everywhere, particularly the local shops and the beach, which are 1 and 5 minutes' walk respectively.

Several bus-routes go past, or near, the apartment, and the city centre, port, and Old Nice are a 15- to 20-minute ride. If you want to get a longer-distance coach west to Antibes, Cannes or Marseille, or east to Monaco and Italy, the 23 bus from the end of the street will take you to your connection in about 10 minutes.

Whether you are intending to use the apartment as a base for exploring the Côte D'Azur, or simply as somewhere to hang out and swim, I would suggest surfing the internet for tourist attractions in Nice, the Cote d'Azur, French Riviera, or Alpes Maritimes, to be that much better informed and prepared before you arrive.
